Worry is a Joy Robber

What a splendid weekend it was for a celebration of art!  As planned, Mark and I enjoyed time, the past few days, at Bowling Green's Black Swamp Arts Festival.  Our oldest son, Andrew, and daughter-in-law, Amanda, joined up with us mid-morning on Saturday--what a blast that day was!

Late Saturday evening, post the festivities, and a spot of college football on the tube, we tuned in to watch a docudrama.  There's not much to share about that--beyond a simple, yet profound, statement I heard while viewing it: "Worry robs us of joy."  What a great insight for putting that pesky "bandit" in its place, huh?

These pics were taken following my standing Saturday morning breakfast date with Mark, downtown.  We parked a bit away and walked to the restaurant as the main streets and parking lots were all closed off for the festival.  The photos featured were snapped outside our local public library.  As you can see, they (like the rest of our town) were ready for the celebration, too!

Jean Jacket: American Eagle (a closet fave for a few years now)

What simple insight helps you gain clearer perspective?  And, what joy did your weekend bring you?  Would love to hear your thoughts!

Joy, hugs and peace, T.
